Master Joiners Apprentice of the Year 2025
Congratulations to Michael Shaw – his dedication, skill, and commitment to have been recognised with the Canterbury Master Joiners Apprentice of the Year award for Year 1.
As a first-year apprentice with JB Joinery, Michael is completing his Level 4 Certificate in Joinery through Ara’s managed apprenticeship program. Throughout 2025, Michael has shown impressive progress, excelling in both practical and theoretical training. His attention to detail and strong work ethic have laid a solid foundation for the years ahead.
At a prize-giving ceremony at Blum, Christchurch, Michael received his award as well as a Tormek T4 sharpening system - proudly sponsored by Jacks.
Jacks would like to wish Michael continued success, and look forward to his growth in the joinery industry in the years to come.
